By means of circus, music, manipulation of objects and acrobatic movements we will travel to a place called Cateura, which does not appear on maps and where two puppeteers invite us to bring inert material to life, creating its own celebration of life. Cateura is about survival, adaptation. It’s about opening your eyes and facing crude reality. There is no planet B.
Alas Circo Teatro is an Andalusian circus and theatre company located in Cordoba, founded in 2008 in the former Municipal School of Circus of Alarcon, Madrid. The pedagogical project Alas Escuela de Circo appeared in 2013 and in 2019 it won the Paca Award. After producing 9 shows, the company shifted its focus to the search for new forms of expression and a show, Cateura, in which the message is the premise.
