Kroke (‘Krakow’ in Yiddish) is coming back to the Cervantes Theatre. Known as a klezmer instrumental band, the truth is that this Polish trio creates and performs its own compositions ornamented with influences from the Balkans, Sephardic music, jazz, classical music and when performing live, with their classic and expected contemporary improvisations. A powerful sound that they have consolidated in the course of 27 years of friendship and music, which they have blended with the music of other artists such as Van Morrison, Ravi Shankar, Klezmatics, Natacha Atlas, Nigel Kennedy and Peter Gabriel, and that transcends time, forms and borders.

Someone once wrote that “Kroke’s musical universe vibrates with the longing of exile, the throb of hope, the sadness of love, the joy of the encounter and the happiness of celebration”.
