Chano Dominguez, 'CIFU' Award 2020

Chano Dominguez, acknowledged in Spain and abroad with multiple awards, is the first Spanish jazzman to receive the Donostiako Jazzaldia Award. As one of the essential figures of jazz who has contributed most to the genre, Chano is a pioneer of Latin jazz and a benchmark for what has come to be known as flamenco jazz. With his unusual integration of rhythms and musical languages, his elegance and spontaneity, he is one of the musicians demanded and appreciated the most by artists and events of all genres.
Diego Amador,  a multi-instrumentalist artist, singer and composer from Seville and younger brother of the founders of Pata Negra Raimundo and Rafael Armador, is also known as 'El Churri'  and the “Gypsy Ray Charles” for the free and vigorous spirit of his performances.  Diego is a mature and unique musician who through his encounters of jazz and flamenco discovers horizons that others do not discern.
The two artists, masters of piano, precursors and ambassadors of this unique sound, come together to go over their ample repertoires and to perform classical pieces of flamenco.
