1984. A hotel in Italy. An historic encounter. A journalist is going to interview Maurice Rossel, former officer of the International Red Cross, who visited Nazi concentration camps during World War II. An exceptional witness is also present at the interview: Primo Levi, Jewish-Italian survivor of those camps. The experience and testimony of the two men regarding the same reality are entirely different, to the extent that the journalist (and the spectators) wonder what it was that Rossel saw to make him draft reports that turned out to be completely false? Do we see what we have before our eyes, or do we only see what we want to see? A question which is totally appropriate for our times.
