Thanks to a visual device that they define as “theatremascope”, we can once again enjoy this epic story with all of its grandeur. A frenetic rhythm, visual gags, black humour and absurd dialogues to tell us what no one before dared to say about Ben-Hur.
In the midst of the Roman Empire, Judah Ben-Hur, the son of a noble family from Jerusalem, is accused of attempting to assassinate the governor. Messala, leader of the army of occupation and an old friend of Ben-Hur, puts him and his family in jail, taking advantage of the situation to avenge the noble for having refused to be his adjunct in the army. After passing time in the galleys, Ben-Hur finally obtains his freedom.
