 Hand programme (ESP)

Paris is in the midst of chaos. Several bombs have exploded, killing dozens of persons. The streets are blocked. Public transport has come to a standstill. In view of the collapse of services, city residents invite those trapped on the street into their homes. Julie opens the door of her apartment to a young man who confronts her with her prejudices. What happens when fear enters our lives? The laments of the damaged city come in from the exterior. Inside, silence, confessions, unexpected delicateness, and also lies, succeed each other. Too many lies.
Puertas abiertas is about Islamic terrorism, one of the major conflicts of our times, and questions the clichés and prejudices of two persons from the communities in conflict regarding the problem. “How easy, and how boring, it would be to live with doors closed to the unknown! We prefer keeping them wide open so that life can come in.”  Abel Folk
