Hazel and Robin, a couple of retired nuclear scientists, live in a small cabin on the East coast since the catastrophe that occurred in the nuclear plant where they worked. A place where sometimes there is no electricity or drinking water, where the population continues to decline. A village with no future.
One day their friend and former work colleague Rose comes to visit. Her unexpected arrival after forty years of not seeing each other disrupts their recollections, feelings and the future of all three. And at the same time, it provokes a reflection on social responsibility in respect to the future of an entire generation that still ignores the destiny it will have to face.
