Prince Hamlet tries to avenge the death of his father, King Hamlet of Denmark, assassinated by his brother Claudio, who usurped the throne and married his sister in law, the prince’s mother. In between moments of real and feigned insanity, Hamlet explores issues such as treason, vengeance, incest, corruption and morality. A scathing reflection full of humour on the Shakespearian tragedy.

A Companhia do Chapitô always uses comedy because of its power to question all aspects of physical and social reality. It creates multidisciplinary shows that provoke the audience’s imagination to overcome linguistic barriers, highlighting its universal vocation.
