1901 in A Coruña. Two women get married in the church of San Xurxo; one of them is dressed as a man. This is a story of police hunts, an escape in stagecoach, changes of identity and manipulated information. The comedians A Panadaría present an irreverent reconstruction of a real event; a musical comedy in which reality appears to be invented. Elisa y Marcela is a love story against all odds.
