A bar, three characters. Or not? An encounter between two strangers who arrange to meet one afternoon in the hottest month of August ever. A man and a woman on a blind date. He is professor of Romance Philology; she is a young far-left radical. At first this could seem to be just an ordinary encounter, and yet it is not. Nor is it a romantic encounter, or at least not in the most common sense of the word. She confesses knowing his most intimate and perverse passion. A passion that is shameful, inadmissible, unspeakable, and at the same time, daring, admirable, that goes beyond the system, that engulfs the system from inside, that eats it, that eats, that eats us up. Will she finally be his accomplice or his victim?
