Victoria Thierrée-Chaplin’s universe is full of humour and the brilliance of tender insanity. Bells and Spells tells the peculiar journey of an incurable kleptomaniac who is controlled by the objects she steals. Using ethereal images, unpredictable objects and captivating dances, and leaving no room for seriousness, logic or reason, Bells and Spells mixes wonder with strangeness.

Victoria Chaplin is the daughter of Charles Chaplin. Together with her husband Jean Baptiste Thierrée she produces theatre shows that are reminiscent of clowns and cabaret. They are the creators of the Circo Imaginario and Circo Invisible, two worldwide benchmarks of the performing arts. Their daughter Aurelia Thierrée, a ballet dancer, magician and acrobat, is the perfect ally for her mother’s creative, oneiric and surrealist incursions.
