Rey Lear was premiered in 2018, year of the 35th anniversary of the group Atalaya-TNT and 10^th since it won the National Theatre Award. Rey Lear is its second adaptation and staging of a text by Shakespeare, the one considered by many as his best, and semi-banned for years because of its harsh criticism of the powerful, which is precisely what makes it so appropriate at present. This is the fully mature Shakespeare, but also the one with the greatest social sensitivity and humanism, and formidable modernity.
