An unexpected pregnancy puts an end to the flight career of a jet fighter pilot, who now flies remote control drones. During the day she monitors terrorists 8000 kilometres away and kills at the push of a button. At night she goes home to have dinner with her husband and to play with her daughter and the latter’s pink ponies, as if nothing had happened. But little by little the different realities start to overlap. Every day it becomes more difficult to distinguish between work and daily life, between the desert of Nevada and the desert of Afghanistan.

Grounded, text that won the Smith Prize 2012 of American political theatre, the operatic version of which is being prepared at the Metropolitan in New York, comes to Spain for the first time with Isabelle Stoffel (nominated to the 2014 MAX award for Best Theatrical Adaptation for The Surrender and recently nominated to the Mihura Awards) and the scriptwriter, theatre director and filmmaker Sigfrid Monleon, nominated on several occasions to the Goya Awards.
