November 1517. Charles the First reaches Spain. With the help of the minstrel Santillos, Cisneros, regent of Castille, prepares his encounter with the new King, to whom he has to return authority over the kingdom. By means of the inveterate theatrical play between the Master and his servant, like that between Lear and his jester in Shakespeare, or between Don Juan and Catalinon in Tirso de Molina, Cisneros and Santillos will guide us through the suggestive Spanish labyrinth that leaves the Renaissance and opens the doors onto the Golden Age.
We will sail the stormy seas of that reign in order to understand that everything that is happening at present is the consequence of that time.
