Geppetto is the boiler man in an old  steamboat. A hard and solitary job. The boiler room is full of tree trunks waiting to be engulfed by the fire. Well, not all of them! Because Geppetto, who is very clever with a knife, carves all sorts of figures out of them. Right now he is carving a little box for his new friend, a cricket with his constant  'cri cri'. Is the boiler-room a magic place, or is it the boiler man’s solitude that endows magic to everything around him? Geppetto and his cricket friend will share the adventure of finding a comrade inside a trunk of wood.
Founded back in 1977, La Tartana has always shown an interest for the world of puppets. Throughout its career the company has premiered 37 shows in which it has experimented with all sorts of techniques, materials, sizes, lights and colours., and which have remained in the history of theatre and the memory of spectators.
