Flamenco’s incursion in other musical genres has become fairly common, perhaps due to the need to find new artistic frontiers and channels in which to evolve and a dialogue to attract more universal recognition. In this case, Arcángel  has decided to look for new nuances in an artistic proposal in which he sings the genre’s great classics, paying tribute to the legends of flamenco music since its origins up to the present.
Composer, spirited singer and catalyst of flamenco, Arcangel’s multiple talents have been acknowledged throughout his career in Spain and internationally. Amongst others, he has won several prizes at the Seville Flamenco Biennial (the most important in the world), and has performed at the Flamenco  Biennials of Rome and the Netherlands, at the festivals of Aix-en-Provence, Mont de Marsan and Les Sud at Arles; Carnegie Hall (New York), the Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid) and the Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon). In 2018 he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Flamenco Album for the record Al este del cante and in 2017 was awarded the Medal of Andalusia.
