La Tremendita’s discourse is experimental; but it is based on traditional roots: the artist considers that both elements are essential. She is dynamic and emotive, with vibrations, sound textures, aesthetics, voice and lyrics projecting a very personal vision of flamenco.
Rosario appears to seek, almost unconsciously, a new, increasingly heterogeneous musical space, free from stylistic constraints and archaic rules, in which to embrace tradition with imperfections and embellish it with sounds that are, a priori, very far from traditional flamenco.
Flamenco singer and performer born in Triana (Seville), Rosario has assumed the role of composer, producer, lyricist and multi-instrumentalist. With four records and two nominations to the Latin Grammy Awards for Best Flamenco Album, according to critics she is one of the major renovators and an icon of present-day flamenco.
