Singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actress, activist and a legend of music in Spanish, Julieta Venegas will be performing again in Spain following an absence of five years. The Vernos de nuevo tour is intended to be a reencounter and a review of the seven studio albums of her career, of which she has sold more than 30 million copies, and of historic hits such as ‘Limón y sal’, ‘Me voy’, ‘Andar conmigo’, ‘Eres para mí’, ‘De mis pasos’, ‘Como sé’, ‘Amores perros (Me van a matar)’, etc. She will also present a few pieces from her new record, which she says “is full of love, indifference, and also filial love, friendship, and a song about the fear of being a woman”.
One Grammy, six Latin Grammys, the Billboard Music Award, Oye Awards, the Berklee College Master of Latin Music Award for her career and the Musa Elena Casals Awards for her work as composer places the Mexican singer/songwriter, currently in the news for her collaboration with Bad Bunny in ‘Lo siento BB’– on a pedestal along with the biggest names of pop in Spanish.
