TULSA EN ACÚSTICO

TULSA EN ACÚSTICO

1.30 h (w/out intermission)

Tulsa is the composer and singer Miren Iza (Donostia, 1979), whose musical career began in the late 90s with the punk pop group Electrobikinis. Since 2007, year in which she was nominated for a Latin Grammy for best New Artist, she has released six albums. Tulsa has one of the most personal voices of contemporary Spanish pop.
Strongly influenced by women across different genres, including melodic pop songs, blues and dream pop, from Mari Trini to Beach House, Bessie Smith and Karen Dalton, she writes songs in Spanish, stories sung with a pop vocation, always brave and in which she takes stock of sentimental catastrophes in a touching way.
Her love for cinema has led her to participate in several film projects, providing music for Jonás Trueba’s film Los exiliados románticos (nominated for a Cesar) and for Raul Santos’ medium-length film Ignonauta. She is currently presenting live her latest studio album Ese éxtasis (Best Album of 2021 for Muzikalia), composed during the pandemic, this time only in acoustic format. Close up she manages perfectly well, her voice, lyrics, hypnotic personality and a certain theatrical vocation shining and overtaking you from the inside.
