2020 FETEN AWARD FOR BEST NIGHT SHOW

Neanderthal is a human feat. It is the (not that distant) cousin who appeared before the sapiens. It is the dance of the medicine men. It is the manipulation of collective conscience. It is yesterday and today. It is dance, live music, theatre and video art at the service of beauty. To feel the essence of primitive human beings in modern day humans. (…) How will we be looked upon by the civilisation that follows ours?”  David Vento
David Vento is a multidisciplinary artist, director and choreographer from Salamanca, Spain. After belonging to different urban dance companies, including Dani Panullo Dance Co. and Circle of Trust, and participating in the artistic creation programme Watermill Summer Program: a laboratory for performance at the Watermill Center in New York, where he began to work with Robert Wilson, in 2018 he created his own company. That year he won 1st prize at the Facyl Young Urban Creators competition and at the Madrid Young Creators competition for his work Indala.
