“Poetic proposal on loving oneself. Two figures on stage suggest an idea of polarity and of a voyage from death to love accompanied by the musician, the music, the deep sound of the wind on the metal. Nudity corresponds to a place of intimacy where questions no longer exist. It is constructed and destroyed like the act of breathing. This is a dance of what enters into each universe, which it tries to devour in order to vomit something new.” Compañía Daniel Abreu
Founded in 2004, the Compañía Daniel Abreu is currently one of the most prominent in Spain. It has premiered more than 60 shows and is regularly on tour in Europe, America and Asia. Daniel Abreu’s choreographic work is defined by the use of simple interpretative tools, the strength and personality of the dancers, intriguing landscapes that result in the construction of intimate and dreamlike images, and a perceptive sonorous atmosphere.
